About Our Program

Heal 901 Cures is a Community Violence Prevention Initiative that aims to prevent gun violence using the Cure Violence Global model. Previously, Heal 901 Cures had an office in the New Horizon Apartment Complex (formerly Kingsgate Apartments), Staff worked within that community Tuesday-Saturdays, 2pm-10pm.
The Staff at Heal 901 Cures are trained Violence Interrupters and Outreach Workers. They make connections with the residents and intervene during violent incidents to keep the community safe.

●Homicide-gun violence is the leading cause of death for ages 16-25 year olds in most major cities
●Violence is a contagion:

●Treating violence like an epidemic gets results in the community
